About Troop 658 - Cypress Texas
Troop 658 is part of the Rising Star District in the Sam Houston Area Council.
The troop is located in Cypress, Texas and is sponsored by Messiah Lutheran Church.
The troop has been in continuous existence for over 25 years. We are striving for a boy-led troop that follows the Boy Scouts of America program. Our emphasis is not upon any one aspect of scouting or camping, but rather on general scouting activities. The boys choose the activities and plan the events with the assistance of the adult leaders. We want the boys to have fun while developing leadership, good character, self-confidence, good citizenship, and a sense of individual and group responsibility through camping and related scouting activities.
